One of our values here at Cedar Street Church is being a friendly, welcoming church by loving people to Jesus and by loving people like Jesus.

We want you to know you are loved and welcome from the moment you come through the front door!  You will be greeted with a warm smile by one of our greeters!  Feel free to stop by the welcome table for any information you may need, our greeters are willing to assist you if you may have any questions! As for the dress code - some dress up - some come casual!  We simply want you to come expecting to feel welcomed, and enjoy your time of worship! Our morning service time generally lasts an hour and a half.

Preaching:  We believe in the preaching of the Word of God - that the gospel is the power of God to salvation to all who believe!  Sometimes preaching is textual (from a specific passage of Scripture) and other times topical in nature or part of a sermon series for number of weeks.  Through the preaching of the Word we desire to see God call 1.) sinners to repentance and 2.) believers to mature into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  Pastor Brad will preach mostly from the New King James version, but sometimes will use the ESV, KJV, NASB, and NIV.

Prayer: We believe that God's house should be a place of prayer!  While we understand that most individuals desire and will want to pray in their seat, we also believe the altar represents a special place where you can meet God in prayer, should you desire pray there.  Our people are encouraged to come pray at the altar during our time of prayer in the service or in response to the preaching at the end of the service.  While we believe prayer at the altar is a personal thing between you and God, we also believe as the family of God, that it's appropriate for believers to come pray behind you or with you, to support you in prayer.  One of our elders or pastors may quietly ask if there is anything they can help you pray for should you come forward to pray.

Music:  We believe church music is about praising and worshiping God!  The focus should be on Jesus and about Him - not us.  Some services our worship team will lead us to worship God by singing modern praise & worship songs with a piano and guitar. Othertimes we are led in worship by singing only hymns with piano and organ.  Most of the time we worship with singing a little of both.  Many times the choir will sing in the service and there is usually a special song just before the preaching.  We will close the service with a song, giving people an opportunity to come pray at the altar if desired.

Here at Cedar Street Church, we value the spiritual development for all ages.  We provide a safely staffed nursery during our Sunday School and morning worship times.

Sunday School - 9:30AM: One of our classes is located in the fellowship hall and anyone from high school to middle age are invited to attend. A second class is located in the sanctuary where an in-depth Bible study is taught by one of our church elders. Our Nursery and Kids classes are located in the lower level of the church sanctuary. Our Sunday School hour is dedicated to the spiritual development for all ages and we would love to see you and your family get plugged into a class!

Sunday Morning Worship - 10:30AM:  We encourage families to gather in the sanctuary together for the first part of the worship service.  Following the offering, kids grades K-5 are encouraged to dismiss to the lower level of the church for a special time of Bible teaching with our Kid's Church volunteers.  Our desire is for your children to know and grow in the Word of God each Sunday.

Sunday Evening Worship- 6PM:  We encourage families to come and worship together in the Sunday evening service, which is a more casual service focused on praise and worship and a message from our Pastor.

Sunday Evening Student Life - 6PM:  Students grades 6-12 are invited to attend on Sunday nights in the church fellowship hall for a night of worship, games, fun and fellowship together.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study - 7PM: A time of music and in-depth Bible study is located in the sactuary and is taught by one of our church elders.
